Platinum Collision Repair
I-CAR’s Platinum™ recognition program provides ongoing, relevant
training for technicians to gain and maintain knowledge for his/her role. With
many new vehicle introductions or redesigns planned for the next few years,
technicians can feel good knowing they are keeping up with the latest vehicle
technology.
Why Being Platinum is Important
When a technician trains to be Platinum, job performance improves and career development opportunities increase. Plus technicians are contributing to the achievement of shop objectives by performing complete, safe and quality repairs.
Course Relevancy
To maximize time spent training, courses were updated to reflect current and future repair methods. As a result, more courses are available, but will generally take less time to complete and can be delivered in ways that strengthen learning effectiveness and efficiency. This provides technicians with a better learning experience that is more interactive and optimized for industry advancements as well as his/her role at the shop.
Platinum Training Requirements
There are three levels of training, referred to as ProLevel® 1, ProLevel 2
and ProLevel 3. Platinum recognition is achieved when ProLevel 3 is complete.
Platinum status is maintained with the completion of required Annual Training
course credits for each year of renewal.
Gap training may be required
if an individual lapses in ProLevel or annual training progression.
