I-CAR® UNVEILS COURSE LINEUP FOR NACE AUTOMECHANIKA CHICAGO, JULY 26-28
I-CAR® today announced seven courses that its collision repair instructors will offer at the 2017 NACE Automechanika Chicago trade show and conference, July 26-28, in the West Hall of McCormick Place. For the first time, NACE (the International Autobody Congress and Exposition) and Automechanika Chicago have combined programs to create a single event for America’s collision repair industry. I-CAR will play a central role in updating attendees on industry developments while conducting training courses at the conference.
I-CAR Introduces New Initiative to Improve Learning Experience
I-CAR® today announced a new live course cancellation policy effective May 1, 2017. The new policy is aimed at improving the student learning experience by eliminating classes with fewer than three students. I-CAR is fully committed to continuously improving the overall live classroom experience for all I-CAR students, and minuscule class sizes directly reduce student learning and instructor teaching effectiveness. This change represents the first in a series of quality improvement initiatives being developed to enhance learning for I-CAR students.
I-CAR® Welding Training & Certification™ Now Required for State Farm™ Select Service® Repairers
I-CAR®’s Welding Training & Certification™ Program is now a requirement as a participant in the State Farm™ Select Service® program. Through in-shop instruction on welding theory, hands-on practice and coaching, then uniform certification testing, I-CAR will equip technicians with the necessary information, knowledge and skills to perform proper welding.

Recently, ASE (Automotive Service Excellence), announced the new slate of board members for the Automotive Training Managers Council (ATMC). Josh McFarlin, I-CAR’s Director, Curriculum and Product Development, has been named to the Automotive Training Managers Council’s Board of Directors. McFarlin will be serving his first three-year term and bringing his automotive and technical training experience to the ATMC board.

The courses include three that are Nissan/INFINITI specific, a Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Collision Repair Overview, a course on calibration of front facing cameras and front radar, an introduction to diagnostics and scan tools and a new one-hour online version of the 2017 edition of I-CAR’s popular vehicle technology and trends course.
