I-CAR® AND ASE PRESENT THIRD ANNUAL MASTER COLLISION REPAIR & REFINISH TECHNICIAN AWARD TO CHRIS SHEPHERD
I-CAR® has awarded the 2018 I-CAR Platinum™/ ASE Master Collision Repair & Refinish Technician of the Year award to Chris Shepherd, an I-CAR instructor at Caddo Career & Technology Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. The award was presented by Nick Notte, I-CAR’s senior vice president of sales, on November 14 during the Fall 2018 ASE Board of Governors meeting and annual Technician Recognition Awards banquet in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Since announcing in August significant enhancements planned for its core education and recognition programming, I-CAR® has continued to refine programming elements in order to provide customers with the best possible solutions and user experience. I-CAR® PRESENTS PRESTIGIOUS ANNUAL AWARDS FOR EXCEPTIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COLLISION REPAIR INDUSTRY
I-CAR®, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, announced today the recipients of its annual I-CAR Awards, which recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to advancing technical education and professionalism in the collision repair industry. The recipients were revealed at a special ceremony at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino during the 2018 SEMA Show.
I-CAR®, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, has named Clark Plucinski as the recipient of its 2018 Chairman’s Award. The award recognizes an individual or organization whose contributions to I-CAR have been significant or extraordinary. The Chairman’s Award recipient is selected by the Executive Committee of the I-CAR International Board of Directors.
Following its successful launch earlier this year, the I-CAR® Sustaining Partner™ program is already providing value to the collision repair industry. Since that launch, the following organizations have joined the program: AkzoNobel; Autel Diagnostic Intelligence; Auto Club Enterprises; Car-O-Liner; CCC Information Services, Inc.; Chief Automotive Technologies; Collision Advice; Farmers Insurance; Intrepid Direct Insurance; LKQ Corporation; Polyvance; Precision Equipment Systems, LLC; and Pro Spot International Inc. I-CAR® CEO and President John Van Alstyne will discuss advanced driver assist systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles (AVs) and their impact on repairability at Autonomous Driving Summit USA in Novi, Michigan on Thursday, May 17.
James Roach, Immediate Past Chairman of the I-CAR® International Board of Directors, was awarded the Founder’s Award for his dedication and service to I-CAR at the 2018 I-CAR Volunteer & Instructor Conference held recently in San Antonio, Texas.
I-CAR® announced its 2018 International Board of Directors and Executive Committee following its annual membership meeting in San Antonio, Texas held during the week of February 26. The Board of Directors sets the overall strategic direction for the organization while assisting with obtaining resources in support of the I-CAR mission.
I-CAR® has awarded Insurance Gold Class® business recognition at the corporate level to State Farm®, an achievement reserved for insurance carriers that are committed to improving the performance and quality of auto collision repairs.
2017 proved to be another strong year for I-CAR®, continuing to build on the progress made since 2010 when the current Professional Development Program™ was announced. Over the past seven years the organization has achieved significant growth as result of it's greatly expanded product and services portfolio, plus increasing industry responsiveness to pursue required knowledge and skills levels in the face of the Technical Tsunami™.
Today I-CAR® announces the formal launch of the organization’s new Sustaining Partner program. The program is designed to more fully engage Insurers, OEMs, Service Providers and Suppliers in support of I-CAR’s vision and mission in recognition of the value I-CAR creates for the industry and their respective organizations, and in return offer Sustaining Partners a portfolio of products, services and benefits relevant to their businesses.
