Our Commitment to the Collision Repair Industry
AkzoNobel is actively contributing to the success of the collision repair industry, through the involvement in trade shows, ongoing recruitment, training sessions, a technical college support program, and much more. The successful development of technicians in the industry, as well as continued sustainability, is of critical importance to our organization. AkzoNobel identifies the opportunity to give back to the industry with the I-CAR Sustainability Program and help further the education of our present and future technicians that are committed to our trade.
AkzoNobel’s Service Group, comprised of 16 highly trained industry experts, consults with shop customers on all topics, including processes, financial metrics and goals. The group also focuses on one of the industry’s biggest challenges — “hiring, identifying and retaining talent,” says Tony Mahon, Regional Business Services Manager, AkzoNobel Automotive & Specialty Coatings. “We help customers to understand what is important to the new generation coming in. We give the user the tools and the mindset to hire smart and hire right. What we devote to programs, whether creating personal development programs to monitor progress or pay plans, among others, we basically try to figure out what it is going to take to attract the best and brightest.
