PPG offers a comprehensive global color database offering 3.5 million prime, variant and specialty color formulas. We offer a complete technician toolbox including RAPIDMACTH^® XI spectrophotometer, color variant chip decks, tinting guides and posters, and mobile applications for fast access to the right formula for matching the target color.

Whether you’re looking for help on vehicle preparation and priming, need information about a repair process, or want to learn a custom paint technique, PPG has tips you can use to get the most out of every job. PPG offers training class at 16 business development centers across North America. We offer beginner classes in refinish preparation, brand-specific certification classes, and advanced classes in specialty finishes and custom painting. Once a technician achieves certification for the paint brand their shop uses the shop can participate in the PPG Lifetime Limited Paint Performance Guarantee program. The painter must be recertified every two years to retain certification status.

In addition to technician training, PPG also offers business improvement programs through our MVP Business Solutions group. The strength of the MVP Business Solutions team lies in our industry-leading experience and proven track record for guiding PPG partners through process improvements designed specifically for the refinish and commercial coatings industry.

OEM Approvals

PPG premium refinish systems are officially approved for 98 percent of all OEM makes and models available. The remaining automakers allow use of PPG products in certified collision programs if a PPG certified painter is on staff.
