BMW has forged a dynamic partnership with I-CAR^®, setting the stage for technicians aspiring to achieve Certified or Master status as a BMW Body Technician. The I-CAR Technician Fundamental Training is a robust program featuring six comprehensive online courses designed to propel participants toward a distinguished career as a BMW body technician.

BMW Prerequisite Entry Courses

All prerequisite entry courses are available online and each course can be completed in one hour or less.

Courses must be taken in the following order:

1. I-CAR Hybrid Vehicle Identification and Damage Analysis
2. I-CAR Bolt-On Panels / Assembly Removal and Installation
3. I-CAR Adhesive Bonding
4. I-CAR Steel Panel Repair
5. I-CAR Aluminum Panel Repair
6. I-CAR Composite Repair Overview

Professional Development Program

The Professional Development Program™ (PDP) is role-relevant training and provides distinct training paths in industry-recognized Knowledge Areas. To earn Gold Class Recognition, businesses must achieve and maintain training across each of the major Collision Repair Roles:

• Non-Structural Technician
• Steel Structural Technician
• Refinish Technician
