As the first hours of SEMA 2018 get underway, we’re always amazed at the spirit of innovation alive and well in this extraordinary automotive aftermarket on full display.  The energy and excitement are contagious, and the networking opportunities among this crowd of 160,000+ vehicle aftermarket enthusiasts can’t be beat.

For I-CAR, SEMA is a connection experience like no other – it’s well attended by every segment of the collision repair industry – from OEMs to insurers, and shop owners to estimators, vocational and trade schools and many more.  Since 58% of the industry is not training (yes, you read that correctly), it’s an opportunity for I-CAR to have a front & center presence, allowing folks to stop by one of our two SEMA locations and learn more about our training products and programs.

Stopping by our booth is much more than a means to pick the latest training course catalog.  While you’re welcome to do that, we invite you in to actually try your hand at MIG brazing. We’ll outfit you with a welding mask, and one of our welding instructors will guide you through the steps so critical in mastering with today’s advanced vehicle repairs.  These hands-on, free demos are our way of inviting you to consider the upcoming training needs, and how to equip your staff to be prepared.

At I-CAR’s Collision Repair & Refinish Stage, #64200, we even have a 2019 Chevy Silverado frame on display, and can walk you through the repair needs heading into your bays. Members of our Repairability Technical Support (RTS) team are there to help answer any collision repair question you may have.

And every day at 11 a.m., we’re convening expert panelists from throughout the industry to take on the emerging collision repair trends.  If you’d like to move forward with actual training, we offer daily courses to bolster repair knowledge for improving cycle times and production processes.

Perhaps the most significant learnings are the insights we gain knowledge of when speaking with SEMA attendees; keeping our ear to the ground and listening to your needs is foundational to ensuring we continue to provide relevant educational solutions to meet the collision repair needs of today, and well into the future.

Hope you’ll make it a point to stop by!
